It's just me. Rambling

Born and raised in New York City and a recent graduate of Indiana University, I am back in Manhattan, writing one day at a time. I'd love to hear what you have to say. . Email me. Caitlinkeating89@gmail.com and follow me on Twitter @caitkeating

I was an event recently at The New York Public Library on East 42nd street and fell in love. No, not with a man, even though there were quite a few handsome Brazillian men whose names I couldn’t pronounce.
I always go to this library to look through the archives of books and magazines dating back to the 1800s, but it was when I went at night that my idea of one day getting married with a few close friends and family at a small venue went straight out the window. Of course I got bored with most of the guests and ended up talking to the security guard outside. He took out his phone and showed me all of the photos he’s taken of men proposing to their girlfriends in the middle of the night when the library is closed and had the proposal arranged. He then told me he had a feeling he would see me here in a couple years.. I then told him if he ever does it definitely won’t be in two years.
As a writer, there is absolutely nothing more romantic than tying the knot at one of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in New York filled with tens of thousands of books.
Now that I have the venue, I’m onto finding the guy.
